Laura is passionate about helping parents gain skills that will allow them to move out of "command and control" and into a more powerful "influence and guide" mode with their children using the Parent-as-Coach style of communication. That's why she founded ParentsCoachKids. A single mother of four children, ranging from elementary to high school age, Laura has successfully used Parent-as-Coach communication skills with her four children to help them discover their own solutions - solutions they are compelled to follow to solve their own problems with confidence - ranging from chores around the house to major decisions about college and career. Since discovering and developing a structure for using these skills with children, her role as a mother has become much less stressful and much more fulfilling.
