ParentsCoachKids was founded  by Laura McHugh after receiving her training as a Personal Coach from The Coaches Training Institute (CTI) of San Rafael. 

Laura requested feedback on a session of coaching practice with her teenage daughter Kati while in training as a coach. Kati said "Mom, you have to teach all parents how to talk this way with their kids."
